Oil free compressed air

Avelair have built a bespoke compressed air skid package which will provide oil free air to a water treatment works.

The skid incorporates a two system duty / standby facility on compressor, Ecotec, and air receiver. This will ensure that the site has air even when the system requires servicing or inspections.

The complete system is built to the WIMES water industry standard.

The system was chosen over an oil free compressor because of its reliabilty and because of its provision of higher quality compressed air to that of an oil free compressor which compresses the oil in the ambient air. The Ecotec concept uses a special catalyst to convert the oil and other hydrocarbons into water and further harmless air components in a physical-chemical process. All oil molecules are transformed completely and effectively in the EcoTec Converter. The compressed air and condensate is absolutely oil-free down to <0.003 mg/m3. This is better than class 1.
